The base is shaped to suggest it’s been made from cast concrete over which there is stone veneer that has been given a smooth finish.

On either side of the first car there are nicely spaced level areas with more stairs enabling guests to board the other Ferris wheel cars on additional levels. Guests step up a few inches from ground level onto the level from which the first Ferris Wheel car can be boarded. There are four levels to this base which is accessed over a safety marked mini slope. I’ve finally gotten the TexMod re- textures for djF’s Ferris wheel where I want them and it is only fitting that having achieved that I’ve been able to make a CSO base for this Ferris wheel in our POE Presentation park. With this concrete base below the tumbling sheets replacing the original supports framework it’s difficult not to imagine that our guests get a better bounce off this ride.Īlthough I had placed this Ferris wheel in my previous park I never got around to creating a base there for it. The ladders made with this CSO are colorable. Although the guest transition from the ground up to Trampoline is completely vertical I’ve chosen to build a slight angle into the access ladders to enhance the overall appearance of this CSO. The texture for the four tumble sheets has been updated with TexMod, and an access ladder has been built at those points where guests access Trampoline. It includes divisions for the angled bungee support beams that come with this ride. This base has been textured so as to suggest it’s been made from cast concrete that has been given a smooth finish. Having created CFR CSO’s for Insect House and for GTT’s Hedge Maze I believed I might be up to the challenge of making a CSO base for the in- game trampoline CFR. We tried placing the in- game trampoline CFR about our park but were not happy with its temporary, travelling fun- fair appearance. Although canopies are being considered above each bench in the center of this maze, a canopy above the entire maze would appear overdone.įor information on the origin of this CFR CSO view my first article here: It was disappointing at first when I realized I was unable to attractively cover GTT’s wooden bench arm rests but as it turned out they actually enhanced the appearance of these stone bench covers to the extent that I briefly considered updating with similar arm rests all the other stone benches we had placed about our park.Īn added bonus was creating the fountain and small obelisk for this maze, which now should be called a wall maze rather than a hedge maze.Īs this particular maze CSO is Port Of Entry themed I decided we didn’t need a top rail on the wall nor did we need the walls to be higher than 1m. With a little shape modification to reflect the fact that these benches are inside a circular area, these bench covers match the stone benches we’ve placed throughout our presentation park. The center of the maze is highlighted with mosaic tiles in a bordered, sunburst pattern.Īs you see I’ve been able to achieve my goal of making bench covers for GTT’s original maze benches. I have applied POE Building 4 Set’s old paint ‘n’ old plaster wall texture to the walls of this maze CSO and have added a stone brick floor.

With us having decided we should include this maze in our park I came up with some textures that I thought would work best with the test CSO model I had already made. GTT’s Hedge Maze turned out to be an ideal CFR to place near a plaza in our presentation park. Further satisfaction was gained in that the creation of these CSO's represented the completion of projects I had been wanting to get a start on for quite some time. What made these projects especially interesting is that some of these rides had never before been used in our parks. I created the following CTR & CFR CSO's specifically for a park our staff had made to highlight several projects we were working on that were all related to the Port Of Entry theme which was introduced into our community by L- 33.
